Lady, gracious one divine, author of miracles, magick, wine. From whose lips the breath of spring, the robin's song sets forth to wing. Mother, greatest one of all, inventress of the nightbird's call. From whose hands the flowers bloom, and make the wool to race the loom. Lover, warmest in your glory, speak to us unending story. Consoler of the chosen few, I dedicate my love to you. Goddess, of the mind and soul, exaulted one in days of old. Here anew we come to thee, and sing your praise eternally.

MIGHTY ASET - Oh mighty goddess Aset my love for you has grown, I know you are the true one who sits upon the throne. I searched and searched to no avail I couldn't find my place, until the day I found you at last, a smile upon my face. My heart was filled with rapture my soul it felt complete, I knew I found the loving one the world could not defeat. I found what I was looking for I saw you through my tears, and now I know what I must do for my remaining years. As it was in days of old my life I give to you so I might teach your loving ways until this life is through

Holy, Holy, Holy, Aset the mighty. Lady of the sacred fire, the earth, the sky, the sea. Holy, Holy, Holy, Aset the mighty. Lady of the moonlight, Magick's mighty key. Holy, Holy, Holy, Aset the mighty, on the sacred holy nights, we rise and come to thee. Holy, Holy, Holy, Aset the mighty. Lady of three faces, blessed trinity. Holy, Holy, Holy, Aset the mighty. Queen of all the Gods of Earth, and of the starry sea. Holy, Holy, Holy, Aset the mighty, Goddess of the ages, sweet eternity.

MOTHER - I went to the garden and I Sat neath the tree. I prayed to the Mother ta give me relief. She took my hand and walked me to the fountain pond. She said sit my darling I have for you the path beyond. Kneel beside the water, gaze into itís depths. See yourself completely with no regrets. Looking down I saw my face framed in blackish gray. Mother What is this that I see? Mother How do I break free. Mother On my knees I cried. MotherMother She handed me a ball of quartz crystalline delight. Now see it filled with all the pain you brought with you tonight. With each breath out it filled with the black swirls of my decay. Mother What is this that I see. Mother How do I break free. Mother On my knees I cried. Mother Mother The feline Queen advanced and whispered in my ear. Now cast it in the water and be done with it my dear. Rise up, rise up, my child Don't be denied. Cast it in the water See the path unwind. I let it go with all my might. It hovered in the air. Mother What is this that I see. Mother How do I break free. Mother Mother Your holding on to it with fingers of your fear. Give it up to me and be done with it my dear. Mother Mother Mother Mother I laid my head upon her breast and turned to see it fall. It was so very simple no work at all. Mother Mother Blessed be the mother.

LOVES FIRST GLANCE - Blessed be the Mother Goddess. Flowing grace doth fill her bodice. Gentle touch...Comes from her hand, to sprinkle dew across the land. Renewing life,...She meets the man. The Horned God bows to this beauty. Kisses thrice the hand of she,...who stands with him.......neath willow tree. Round & round they turn in playful dance. Filled with joy...The Horned God doth prance. The lady swishes with delight, charmed by his genteel might. Pressing hands...they feel the glow. Passion's seed is sure to sow. By Beltane's moon, the flame will grow. But for now, content to dance. Starry eyed..with loves first glance.

The Goddess cried I felt her tears, To think that after all these years, Her children fight they still don't know, How much the Goddess loves them so. The Lady of ten thousand names, She knows them all just the same, By what name She doesn't care, As long as love is always there.

SHE OF A THOUSAND NAMES - She of a thousand names: I need you inside me tonight! I need your strength, I need your sight, I need your voice, I need your grace, I need your limbs! She of a thousand names, I need you inside me tonight! She of a thousand names: I need you inside me for all time.

DRAGONS DANCE IN THE FULL MOON'S LIGHT - From the dusk till dawn, far into the night, some dragons dance in the full moon's light! Some spread their wings and take to flight, while some just dance in the full moon's light! I know to some it would be a fright, those dragons dancing in the full moon's light, but it always makes my heart so light, to see dragons dance in the full moon's light! So careful then when you roam at night for dragons dance in the full moon's light! Specially when the moon is bright those dragons dance in the full moon's light! If you believe, no matter how slight you can see them dance in the full moon's light! If your faith is strong and your heart is right, they'll dance with you in the full moon's light!

Ritual of Conversion - Wishing wells within a dream, Offer much more than they seem. Watch carefully as the waters spin, To find the powers they hold within. Go ahead, let them cleanse your mind, As their magick leaves you in a spellbind. Don't worry, you'll find your way, As long as you let your mind stray. There's no need to be afraid, Just follow the waters cascade, And let it be known, You must ascend on your own. But don't fret, you won't be alone, For I'll be watching from atop my throne. Subconsciously leading you back home.

LOVE LOST - The sunshine of my love has set. The fair light of love has left me. Why have the Fates dealt such a cruel blow to me? Why must I lose everything I love? My heart has been cruelly torn asunder by the axe of the Gods. Why could not that axe which rent my heart, Have cleaved my neck instead, to spare me the pain? Oh Cupid, why have your arrows soured? What have I done to cause Venus to turn her back on me? I offer love, and this I get in return: The loss of the woman I love? It feels as if my heart has been ripped out of my chest. Why must I endure this pain again? My life is not worth living without her. My spirit is no longer whole. When my Lady left me, my spirit fled with her. Nothing matters anymore. My life has no meaning anymore. Not even the Gods could fill this voidÖOnly She can. She was my strength when I was weak. She was my courage when I was fearful. She was my wisdom when I was foolish. She was my friend when I was in need. Now I am alone. Even amongst comrades, I will be alone. For without my Lady, I would be alone in a mob. My heart yearns for herÖMy body craves herÖMy mind will not let me forget herÖWhy cannot I forget so this pain will dissipate? Dark Morpheus, take me to your abode. Put me in a deep slumber that I shall never awaken from. I cannot take this pain any longer. I cannot take this loneliness. I am destined to lose all I love. What have I done to deserve this fate? I always see herÖI always feel herÖI always smell herÖWhy are my senses torturing me so? Death would be a sweet release. I would have rather been hacked to pieces in battle, Than go through this pain. This is a pain with no relief. Willow bark nor poppy can dull this pain. The only thing that will stop this pain is my Lady coming back to meÖor death. Sometimes I get the urge to don my armor and fight for her heartÖBut that would not win her backÖI would do anything in my power to get her back. For she is my lifeÖmy loveÖmy existenceÖRelease is near as I drink from Socratesí cup. No longer will my pain endure. For there is no longer a reason to go on living. Darkness is looming near. I feel the chill of Deaths touch as it slowly creeps up my body. Oh fair numbness at last No more painÖNo more sorrowÖI say farewell to this world that is now barren to me. For it is now over with.

EXISTENCE - You know of me. You have never noticed me but I have always been there. I walk between worlds. I'm odd in that respect. I look for my place in worlds I will never belong to. I seek company yet prefer solitude. I offer help yet do nothing. I ask for aid yet refuse when it's offered. I exist yet am not noticed. I seek others yet do not acknowledge them. I crave contact yet never reach out. You know me. I've always been there. I am just, forever, alone.

LORD OF THE TREES - Lord of the Trees Strange how my mind thinks, as I walk beside the trees. The ancient oak trees forming links, with their breath of wisdom reaching me. Their lineage is unbroken in the vastness of time. How do I respond as I walk past their line? My thoughts are of sharing in their wisdom and dark. Sensations of floatation as my hands clasp around the bark. Knowledge of ancient wisdom transcends the calm thoughts of time. A warmth deep inside forms as I acknowledge his sign. Energy flows upwardly from below my knees. Awareness takes over me, it comes from the Trees. Thoughts of yesterdayís anger begin to fade. As the pieces of broken lives are being re-made. My mind is with the leaves as they float down to the ground. My pain has all gone without but a sound. Who can tell me better than the trees? How to live life, like the birds and the bees? Knowing always that everything comes in threeís, The words, the wisdom, and The Lord of the Trees. - By ALWYN
THE FOREST CALLS - Restful thoughts on a forest walk, energy flowing, there is no talk. A mystical morning amongst the trees, the butterflies dance, the buzz of the bees. A feeling of comfort magically born, one with nature at the break of dawn. I hear a voice from times long gone; a ghostly echo sings her song. A joyful message she imparts to me, a love of nature, a reality. Folklore tales from her loving face, a wondrous beauty from the spirit of place. I have to listen to those words I hear, they gently flow into my ear. Reflections of the days gone past, the love of those that I hold dear. A special feeling that is all mine, transfixes me to this place in time. I really am engulfed in awe, in what I heard and what I saw. I know I have a bond of love, for that voice I hear above. I take another step along, the pathway as she sings her song. Mother Nature has her ways, to show us how to live our days. The beauty of the sky above, the tending hand of Mother love. The wisdom of the silent trees, they know of course, all our needs. The sleeping bird that's just awoke, the ivy hanging from the ancient oak. All these things reach out to me, from their place in history. I sit and watch the waterfall; I remember well, the forest calls. - By ALWYN
THE WELL - The well of wisdom was a place in time, For the people that it served, to wash their grime. A pilgrimage was made every day, It helped to wash their troubles away. The daily task of collecting the water pure, Was a ritual thing to practise their cures. The customs of a certain age, Released their fears from a troublesome cage. The Goddess evoked from the sky above, Bestowed on them the perfect love. Gifts were made and wishes done, Health was restored and good luck would come. - By ALWYN
BEHIND THE SCENES - Behind the scenes, I sing softly, In the choir, No solos. On the stage, I dance enmeshed In the midst of An entire company Alone, But am I truly? No... I'm never alone-- Aset is by my side. - By LADYSIM
DUAL WORLDS - Two worlds beckon One emerald green One tawny gold Can I be in both And yet remain true To myself? I am Emerald and Gold together Being in dual worlds Does not betray The trust Aset places in me. - By LADYSIM
JOURNEY INTO EGYPT - New paths, new worlds to explore Things never tried, never done before Fear grips my heart with icy cold hands As I travel now into uncharted lands. Tawny gold sand swirls around my feet The Nile flows with music so sweet Though I've glimpsed this place few times before I know I'll love it forevermore. - By LADYSIM
DREAM CATCHER - Since I had a blissful dream The other side of things Iíve seen A star shines brightly above the clouds I walk the beach with calming sounds No more questions for answers why A realisation comes from the sky Lapping waves cover my feet I feel my life is now complete I make my wishes as I look above I am joined in thoughts by mother love Expanding thoughts encompass time The dream catcher sees my loving sign. - By ALWYN
NEW GRANGE - Far away in a distant land, A home was built by natureís hand. Inspiring thoughts deep within me, A historic place close to the sea. Legend says this sacred place, Receives the sunbeam on its face. A magical place to go and see, A home of peace and tranquillity. Shrouded in secrets, steeped in mystery. For it was only the druids that knew the key. For centuries it has resisted change. A place they call New Grange. - ALWYN
ECHOES OF THE VALLEY - As I stand upon the mountain side. Iím aware that I have a special guide. A guiding hand that is high above. Knowing all things and full of love. Echoes softly ripple in the valley below. I start to walk and follow the flow. I make my way down through the magical trees. My bodies relaxed and my heads at ease. A gentle calling fills the air. My perceptionís acute Iím so aware. A shadow looms from the stone circle ring. The voice thatís with me begins to sing. I step inside the ancient stones. Mystical feelings form within my bones. Echoes of the valley, that calling tone. I am deep in nature Iím not alone. Wondrous visions that are hers and mine. I am deep in thought as I reflect in time. - ALWYN
DROPS IN THE OCEAN - Though I am but a drop in the ocean, I am still the ocean. I touch every drop around me, that touches every other. The greatest that I am, is no more than my least. I can be the gentle motion that rocks the boat of lovers, or the angry crashing waves that smash sandcastle dreams on my shore. The reflected moonlight glistens off my calm smooth tide this night. Yet within me is always the power of the tsunami. Though I am but a drop in the ocean. I am still the ocean....and so are you. - MRWUPY
ETERNAL REQUIEM --- I lie afraid, Trapped, In total darkness, I cannot stop my tears. My brother, Whom I loved, Trusted. How could he have done this...I feel his resentment. His Jealousy. I sense his intense hatred, His virulent fury Poisons my soul. I hear his cruel jibes. How could I not have seen? He hid it well. I wonder if my innocence Is a curse or a blessing. My heart is heavy, I have never known such pain. In the sarcophagus I lie, Bound, Cold and afraid. The darkness chokes me. I try to visualise light, Warmth, But all I feel Is fear, hurt, shame. And then I remember nothing more. Until she found me, Colder than ice, Dead as night. Gently she holds me, Caresses me, Warming my lifeless body. Energising my still Soul. Giving her heart and Soul to me, Even in Death, Our love is eternal. But my death is not enough For my brother. He finds my body And tears me limb from limb. Incomplete my pieces lie, My Soul fragmented, My spirit aching, My heart shattered, Longing for warmth, Love, Peace, To be whole again, To hold my love once more. Even in Death she does not leave me. She searches for me, With the assistance of those closest to her. Never will I forget her love, Loyalty, Devotion, And my child within her. Upon his birth, My child grows, And avenges my murder. Punishing my brother For his wrongs. Perhaps Set will find peace. Although I am angry, I wish no malice toward him. Hate begets more hate, And that I will not do. And I wait in silence, But in Death I found solitude. Beyond the fear I realise my true purpose. The Dead had no one, No place, No solitude, Only oblivion. Nothing to nourish their aching souls. Eventually the living forget, And the dead are truly forgotten. Perhaps my murder was A blessing is disguise. Although I am still hurt By my brother's actions, Had I not died, Never would I have known The emptiness of Death. As clear as the stars, My purpose came to me. I was to create a Realm, A home For the Dead. To give their Souls Peace, Nourishment, Fulfilment, A sanctuary. And so as my Grecian Brethren Hades will do in future times, I created my Underworld To care for the Dead, To nourish them, Or punish them, In accordance to how They lived their mortal lives. Again, my wife does not fail. She gathers my disassembled parts, And her love made me whole once more. I hold my flail and hook Close to my heart. I sit calmly, Breathe slowly, I am at peace. A peace that has been a long time coming. Though I realise It was an essential lesson I needed to learn, And for that I am ever grateful. I appoint Anubis As The Guardian of the Dead, Carefully he weighs the deeds Of each mortal. Even the long since departed. Those who lived rewarding lives Shall be rewarded in the Afterlife, Those who did not, Will not. My Realm takes shape As I envisioned. Horus, my son embraces me. So much love, From one whom I barely know. Though I do know, For his Soul I share. Isis, my beloved, Caresses me, Her hands as gentle as silk. I return her embrace As she holds me, Cradles me, Within her soft wings. I allow myself to smile For the first time In many ages. I am whole once more, Safe. The Dead no longer have to suffer The realms of oblivion. Here they are safe, Here they are home, Here I am home....I am Osiris --- By Titania
LAMENT OF THE DARK GODDESS ---
I am she,
The one who searches long in the night -
To feel the embrace of my equal sight -
I am she,
The one who's been decapitated from behind -
Not knowing, not looking, not going into my mind -
I am she,
The one who's been tossed aside in defense of equality -
But will never be heard in patriarchal polity -
I am she,
The one lives in the dark -
Where all life and death begins and ends with a spark -
I am she,
The one who's been wronged in my heart -
But no one cares and they really haven't from the start -
I am she,
Black queen of the ocean tides as the roar -
The emotional sound conjunction to a a door -
I am she,
Angry, hurt, tearful and in dire pain -
A woman's experience is against traditional grain -
I am she,
Who used to be part of a powerful dynamic -
No longer used in glass, wood or ceramic -
I am she,
Who is loved by many but detested by others -
And cast away by my fathers, uncles and brothers -
I am she,
Pregnant with child out of these marriage laws -
Done in secret among the Great Rite and my flaws -
I am she,
The screeching and pain of the Underworld in vane -
The unsatisfied thirst and unstoppble rain -
I am she,
They call me the terrible, but I am Persephone -
I am also Innana, Ishtar, Isis, Ereshkigal, Medusa, Lilith, Nyx,
Sekhmet and Cybele. I am Anath and Aphrodite, Hathor and Athena,
Hestia and Artemis.
I am the whore -
I am the virgin -
I am the mother with the god son in hand -
Just waiting for someone to understand -
---by Persephone
